Why it is worth your time
Disruptor is the third and final book in Arwen Elys Dayton's Seeker trilogy, published in 2017. The series is young-adult science fiction about Quin Kincaid, raised to join the Seekers, a hereditary order of fighters whose original purpose has been lost. This volume splits Quin, Shinobu and John across separate storylines and resolves the long fight against the Middle Dread. Chamath posted about it in 2017 and recommended it to readers who like fiction. It is the only novel on his list, and there is no link to his usual themes. He appears to have read it for pleasure. It suits readers aged 12 and up who have already read the first 2 books. The caveat is that it is the last book of a YA trilogy and does not stand alone, and Kirkus found it just as plodding as the first two volumes.
